MASC SERVICES
General Safety Orientations
OSHA requires that workers have a general understanding of safe work practices, potential hazards, and precautions before reporting to work at construction and general industry sites. To satisfy that requirement, MASC offers two general safety orientations: the instructor-led Basic Orientation Plus® (BOP) developed by ARSC, and MASC’s own BSafe© online course.
Both orientations provide coverage, based on OSHA 1910 & 1926 standards, of critical safety topics to an awareness level. Spanish versions available!
LATEST NEWS
Updated Face Covering Policy (as of November 12, 2021)
As New Hanover and Guilford Counties have rescinded their mandates for indoor mask usage, MASC is no longer requiring masks for vaccinated students at our North Carolina training centers (Wilmington and High Point). We will be continuing social distancing and sanitary procedures to the best of our ability. MASC is not restricting class size limits at this time. This policy is also in effect for our Charleston, SC location.
Anyone coughing, sneezing, having a fever or exhibiting respiratory ailment symptoms will NOT be admitted.
Mobile phones, smart watches, etc. must be left in vehicles or outside our facility. Staff will not be handling anyone's mobile devices. Students who are found to have such a device on their person inside MASC offices will not be allowed to continue training that day.
Hand sanitizer and nitrile gloves will be available. Staff will also follow a cleaning protocol to sanitize computers and peripherals after use. Students will be issued disposable earbud headphones for computer-based training.
